COURSE DESCRIPTION:  Provides a basic understanding of immune mechanisms in animals, with emphasis on humans. In this course Molecular Biology and Immunology principles are applied in the laboratory.

 PREREQUISITES:  BTC 2100 and BTC 2150

 COURSE OBJECTIVES: upon completion of this course, the student will

     .     Develop an understanding of basic concepts of immunology

     .     Develop an understanding of basic protein isolation and characterization

     .     Develop an understanding of basic methods for testing presence of antigens

     .     Maintain a complete lab notebook
